Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the kitchen. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food handling and preparation.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Adapt to changing menus or special requests from customers while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
